CNC Machining for Satellite Communications

RF hardware is unforgiving: a waveguide that is not to size loses signal, and a mount that moves with temperature takes the antenna off point. Precision is not a nice-to-have here.

What the parts have to do

  • Hold RF-critical internal dimensions and surface finish.
  • Stay dimensionally stable as the unit heats and cools in orbit.
  • Keep weight down without losing stiffness.
  • Provide reliable grounding and interface faces.

Typical parts we machine

Waveguide sections and flanges, housings and enclosures, structural brackets and mounts, and filter bodies.

Materials that fit the job

Aluminum for low weight, titanium where strength-to-weight and temperature matter, Kovar and Invar where dimensional stability or a glass/ceramic joint is required.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes — ±0.005 mm on 3-axis work and ±0.01 mm standard on simultaneous 5-axis, verified on a Zeiss CMM. Critical internal features are measured, not assumed.
Invar 36 is the usual answer where expansion must be minimal; aluminum is lighter but expands far more.
Yes — EN 10204 3.1 certificates and full batch traceability are available.
