CNC Machining for Sensor Equipment

Sensors turn a physical quantity into a signal, and that signal depends on the parts around it: a housing that moves, a sealing face that leaks or a bore that is not round will all show up as measurement error.

What the parts have to do

  • Hold dimensions across the operating temperature range.
  • Present flat, scratch-free sealing faces.
  • Provide clean bores and threads for the sensing element.
  • Resist the medium being measured — chemicals, gases or high temperature.

Typical parts we machine

Sensor housings and bodies, mounting and sealing plates, diaphragms seats, connector blocks and adapters.

Materials that fit the job

Stainless steel and titanium for corrosion and strength; Kovar where a glass or ceramic feedthrough must be sealed in; PEEK, PVDF and PTFE where chemical resistance or dielectric properties dominate.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Stainless and titanium are common for structural housings; Kovar for glass-sealed feedthroughs; PEEK, PVDF and PTFE where chemical or electrical requirements dominate.
Yes. Flatness and surface finish on sealing faces are verified on a Zeiss CMM and, where specified, measured for roughness.
Yes — bores, threads and seats are machined and inspected as part of the same process.
