Dimensional Inspection

Inspection is a plan, not a habit. Deciding which dimensions are verified, on what instrument and how often is what makes a result repeatable rather than lucky.

Critical versus general dimensions

Dimensions that carry function are treated as critical: they are measured on a Zeiss CMM and reported. General dimensions follow the drawing's general tolerance and are checked as appropriate — not every dimension needs the same effort.

How the plan is set

The inspection plan is agreed before production, based on the drawing and your quality requirements, and stays the same across the batch so results are comparable.

Records and traceability

Measured values are recorded, and parts remain traceable to their batch and inspection record — so a question months later has an answer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Critical dimensions are measured per the agreed plan; every part is not always necessary, and over-inspecting is itself a cost that has to earn its place.
