CNC Sourcing Agent in China for Equipment Manufacturers
ProtoTech is a precision CNC machining partner in Shenzhen, China, and we work as your sourcing agent in China for the components your equipment needs: machined in our own 1,300 m² plant, with material procurement, surface treatment coordination, inspection and consolidated shipping handled by the same team.
What a China sourcing partner actually does
We buy the bar, billet or sheet in the grade your drawing specifies, and keep the material certification with the part.
Milling, turning and Swiss-type work run in Shenzhen on our own machines, so the drawing is machined by the people who quoted it.
Anodizing, passivation, plating and coating are placed with qualified subcontractors close to the plant — not shipped halfway around the world and back.
Dimensional reports, first article inspection reports and EN 10204 3.1 material certificates travel with the parts.
One shipment, one contact, one packing list. Prototypes go by express courier or air freight.
Why equipment manufacturers use one partner in China
A machine builder normally has to coordinate the machine shop, the heat treater, the coating supplier and the forwarder. One partner removes that coordination load.
The prototype and the production run are machined under the same process controls, so a part that worked at sample stage still works at 500 pieces.
You see material, machining, inspection and freight as separate lines before you commit, not as one number afterwards.
The responsibility for the delivered part stays with the company that machined it, in the same country as the process.
How a project runs
STEP or drawing in, manufacturability and tolerance review out. Nothing is priced before the geometry is checked.
Typically 5-10 working days from a manufacturable drawing, delivered with the inspection report.
You approve a real part on your own metrology, and the program is scheduled from that approval.
Batch traceability and material certificates are provided with every delivery.
What we take on — and what we don't
What we machine in house: aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys, Invar, Kovar, tungsten alloys, carbon-fibre composites, engineering plastics (PEEK, PVDF, PTFE, POM, ABS), alumina ceramic and graphite. What we deliberately do not take: high-volume commodity parts where a production line, not a job shop, is the right answer — we will say so rather than quote it.
